Brooks Weaver

Bio

Khru Weaver started in the martial arts back in 1992. Initially he began training in shotokan and kyokushin karate. He was very fortunate to get started in the arts with an amazing instructor, David "Chip" Prather who helped to provide me with much needed structure in my life.

After graduating high school Khru Weaver started his career in law enforcement. A few years later, he was exposed to Brazilian jiu-jitsu and began training in American kickboxing.
After years of Jiu-Jitsu training, he would meet his very first Muay Thai coach (The Legendary) Arjan Scott Hicks who totally changed his way on how he viewed training.

Once again he was very fortunate to meet and train under the late Coach (''Big" John Grantham) with whom he trained with for several years until his untimely passing.

Shortly after starting his training in the Filipino martial arts and was very blessed to find a great coach and instructor in (Angie Harvey) who helped guide him in Muay Thai and Filipino arts training.

During his nearly 30 year career in law enforcement he started out working patrol and through hard work and dedication worked his way up to shift Lieutenant. Additionally, he served as a SWAT operator, as well as SWAT Team Commander and Instructor.

His many years of extensive training in law enforcement afforded him the ability to work for the State of Georgia Police Academy for many years as a general instructor as well as a firearms, defensive tactics and police driving instructor.

During his time with the state he was able to help to revamp the instructor manual for the defensive tactics program for the state of Georgia and introduce some foundational Muay Thai into the state's defensive tactics curriculum.
In addition to his professional life, he has been blessed with meeting his best friend and wife, Sabrina almost 30 years ago they have 3 children, and 2 grandchildren currently.
